Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern the engagement of Elecool Electrical ("we", "us", "our") by clients ("you", "your") for electrical works in Victoria, Australia.
Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. Fixed-price quotes are based on the scope described at the time of quoting. If the scope changes — additional work requested, unforeseen conditions discovered on site — any variation will be quoted and approved by you in writing before proceeding.
Booking and scheduling
Booking confirmation requires written acceptance of the quote. We'll agree a date and approximate time window. Emergency call-outs are accommodated where possible and may carry an after-hours surcharge, which will be communicated before work commences.
Payment terms
Payment is due within 7 days of invoice unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing. Larger jobs may require a deposit, which will be itemised in the quote. We accept bank transfer; surcharges apply to card payments. Overdue invoices may incur interest at the rate prescribed by the Penalty Interest Rates Act 1983 (Vic).
Warranties
All electrical work carries the warranties required under Australian Consumer Law and the relevant Victorian electrical safety regulations. Parts and equipment supplied are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from the date of completion, subject to normal wear and tear and provided the work has not been altered or interfered with by a third party.
Certificates of Electrical Safety
We issue Certificates of Electrical Safety (CES) for all prescribed and non-prescribed work as required by Energy Safe Victoria. CES documentation will be provided to you on completion of the relevant work.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please give at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less notice may incur a fee covering allocated time and any parts already procured.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those non-excludable rights, our liability for any loss arising from work performed is limited to the cost of re-performing the work or refunding the amount paid for the work, at our option.
Disputes
If a dispute arises, please raise it with us first so we have an opportunity to resolve it. Unresolved disputes may be referred to Consumer Affairs Victoria or, for licensing issues, Energy Safe Victoria.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
