The commercial corridors along Springvale Road and Blackburn Road are where a lot of our Mulgrave work sits. Office tenancies need lighting zoned and switched sensibly, data and power in the right places, emergency and exit lighting maintained and logged, and a distribution board that isn't already full when the next tenant arrives. Industrial units need three-phase to machinery, isolators in reach, and enough spare capacity that adding a compressor isn't a whole new project. We quote all of it fixed price.
The residential side of Mulgrave is dominated by 1970s and 80s brick homes on decent blocks, plus later estate housing with double garages and higher ceilings. These homes typically came with one lighting circuit per area and a handful of power circuits. Today's kitchen alone — induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine — will out-draw the whole original design. Kitchen renovations are the most common trigger for a board upgrade in this suburb, and we prefer to do both at once.
Double garages are the other Mulgrave specialty. Most homes out this way have one, and that makes EV charging genuinely practical — the car parks off-street, the cable run from the board is usually short, and there's clear wall space to mount a unit. We're a MyEnergi-approved installer, so we do a lot of these. We check the main supply and existing household load first, because a 7kW charger sitting on top of ducted cooling and an induction cooktop needs the numbers to actually add up. If they don't, we'll tell you what has to change before you commit.
