An LED conversion is one of the highest-ROI electrical jobs you can do — cutting lighting energy use by 60–80% and replacing globes that last 30,000 hours instead of 1,000. But done badly, LED lighting looks cold, flickers on dimmers, and creates dark patches in rooms that were perfectly lit before. We design lighting plans that pay attention to colour temperature, beam angle, and dimmer compatibility — not just wattage.
What we install
Recessed LED downlights with the right beam angle and colour temperature for the room (warm white 2700K for living areas, neutral 4000K for kitchens, daylight 5000–6500K for workshops and bathrooms). Pendant lighting over dining tables and islands. Track lighting for retail display and gallery walls. Feature lighting under cabinetry, in coves and on stairs. Outdoor and garden lighting including step lights, path lights and floodlights. Smart lighting integration with Philips Hue, Lutron Caséta and similar systems.
Why proper LED design matters
Lighting affects how rooms feel as much as paint colour or furniture. A row of cool-white 6000K downlights in a living room will make it feel like a hospital corridor. The same room lit with 2700K LEDs at the right spacing and beam angle feels like a home. We do a proper lighting plan first — placement, count, colour temp and CRI (colour rendering index, important for kitchens and bathrooms) — then quote the install.
