What’s the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 charging?

This is a critical distinction:

LEVEL 1 CHARGING (Standard Power Point):

• Uses regular 10-amp household outlet

• Delivers 2.4kW of power

• Adds 10-12km of range per hour

• Takes 2-3 DAYS for full charge

• Suitable only for plug-in hybrids or emergency use

LEVEL 2 CHARGING (Dedicated Charger):

• Uses 15-32 amp dedicated circuit

• Delivers 7-22kW of power

• Adds 40-100km of range per hour

• Fully charges overnight (4-8 hours)

• The standard for home installations

We ALWAYS recommend Level 2 for home installations. Level 1 is simply too slow for practical daily use with modern electric vehicles.
